| Reserpine/Clopamide/ Dihydroergocristine More info | |
|---|---|
| Mode Of Action | Reserpine is a pure crystalline alkaloid of Rauwolfia. Reserpine acts by depleting stores of catecholamines and 5-hydroxytryptamine in many organs, resulting in a decreased heart rate and a lowering of arterial blood pressure. Clopamide is a thiazide diuretic. Dihydroergocristine is dihydrogenated ergot alkaloids whose mechanism of action is not fully understood. It is thought to act centrally to decrease vascular tone and slows the heart rate, and acts peripherally to block alpha-receptors. |
